JOHN 3:16 - For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
Before knowing your "ARCH ENEMY" you must know the ONE Who loves you so much. God (YWH), Who identified Himself in the old testament as the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob has loved this world, not the material world (2Peter 3:5-7) or the its system but the souls it contains. Having loved, the most holy God identified with the entire mankind through His one and only Son Christ. He was sent down by the triune God (Isaiah 48:16-17) to put on flesh and blood (Hebrew 10:5) , He is called Christ Jesus. Thus through His death He defeated our Enemy, set us free once for all, sanctified us for ever by the one and the only sacrifice (Hebrew 10:10) and perfected us by the same sacrifice for ever (Hebrew 10:12-14). Now positionaly we are holy and perfect by the will of God, not by anything what we do or have done or doing. We wait for the final bodily redemption that is called "glorification" since this flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor 15:50).
Jesus Christ, the Lord and Saviour of the entire world and the mankind has defeated and judged our only common Enemy once for all by the VERY ACT He did between heaven and earth. By the death Jesus died He judged the Devil and and the sinful world which is under sway of the evil one 1John 5:19b. At the same time He set us free for ever John 12:31-32; Hail-Al-YAH
Now one who has received Jesus Christ as his Saviour (from sin and its consequences and the slavary of the Arch Enemy) and Lord of his entire life will inherit eternal life. But anyone who does not believe this shall not see life eternal but the wrath of God abides on him (John 3:33-36)
